Godless Dogs
A downloadable game
The gods are dead, money is worth little for what we risk. We wander the wastes of this rotting world looking for a place to call home, the streets of Tudor no less dangerous than the strange and wild.
We eat street bread and drink liquor so we can lick our wounds without pain.
Like godless dogs we roam this earth seeking purpose in shedding blood and brandishing steel.
They are part of a cursed company, a pack of animals acting out of hunger, instinct, fear and who still have the nerve to call themselves humans. These are their miserable short lives trying to find a purpose before they end.
What is Godless Dogs?
Godless Dogs is a role-playing game about how absolutely horrible and brutal the violence we see in fantasy stories is and the constant human tragedy that exists in such worlds really would be.
This little RPG is compatible with any module of your choice, with a little work you can integrate the ideas from this game and see how it completely changes the feel of the world.
Do not fall into the myth of heroism, the farce of “leveling up” or becoming stronger to cause more violence. Live the drama and brotherhood of your companions, look for a reason not to die and escape this world of violence and massacre.
WARNING:
Godless Dogs is a game with elements of horror, death and cruel violence. Take precautions and necessary safety tools for your table.

Hi! This game looks very intriguing, and my friends and I would love to try it out. However, reading through it, I couldn't make sense of the "total failure" option of recovering fortune (since you are not prompted to roll for non violence, so failing is not really an option - unless it refers to failing on violent actions?), until I looked at the Spanish version where rolls are part of non violent actions.
This made me think - is one simply more updated than the other, and if so which version should I follow? Or am I simply misunderstanding something?
Hi! The english versión is SERIOUSLY outdated, as it hadn't gained any traction for almost a year. So, dont worry if it doesnt make any sense, this is a VERY early draf (we are on version 3.9).
I'm working on translating the spanish version.
TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION:
Yes, it made no sense originally. It pretty much meant that instead of spending fortune to succes, you chose to have the worst outcome possible happen so you and your group could recover fortune (a very high cost).
I see, thanks for responding, I'm excited for the updated English version!
